Glas Zabjela is an idea, conceived in Zabjelo, that resonated far beyond this Podgorica settlement. The now iconic magazine turned into an internet news portal in 2019. The portal was a great success. However, after several years, frequent cyber attacks and unoptimized servers forced Glas Zabjela to hire a professional agency. That’s where we performed.

PROBLEM
When you are an important and credible voice of citizens, and you are rewarded for volunteer work and community care, you will always have disagreements with certain social groups. Impeccable creative work, drawing attention to problems in the local community and progress will always be belittled by someone. The problem with Glas Zabjela was that the devaluing of their work did not end with negative comments. Ten times more bots than real accounts, attempts to steal the accounts of journalists and editors, false extortion of information from readers are just some of the problems.

STRATEGY
Focus Coding® is straightforward. We do not use modern expressions with which incompetent fill in the gaps in their knowledge and skills. That is why, together with the representatives of Glas Zabjela, we divided this project into 2 teams. Safety and speed.
Glas Zabjela must become a safe and fast portal that will enable users to easily and pleasantly get information about topics that affect their daily lives.

OUR WORK
Before we optimized the servers, we had to make sure that we won’t have mass bot registration again. Also, it was necessary to work on suspicious attempts to log in to accounts and better encryption of user passwords, i.e. changing the encryption language, which significantly reduces the chances that the account of one of the users will end up in the wrong hands. The successful project resulted in new cooperation in the form of regular maintenance, which is also one of our services.
RESULTS
An optimized interface, with loading speed measured in milliseconds and improved account security, created tens of thousands of new users. We also worked on the comment policy, which is why Glas Zabjela is now a much more pleasant portal.
